Our Top 10 Table Services of Disney World

Hello and welcome aboard the blog, They Met at Disney! Today we are discussing the wonder thing that Hunter loves the most besides me and her family... And Disney... And makeup.. VINCENT! Ahem we are talking about food! More specifically Disney food. And even more specifically than that we are talking about Table Service or Sit Down Restaurants.

Hunter and I watched a YouTube video from YoHoDisney, and it got us to thinking. However, we changed the rules since we couldn't really see ourselves doing ALL the places to eat. So we sat down on opposite ends of the couch and wrote down own on lists.

Hunter's Picks

  1. Boma - Flavors of Africa
  2. Rose & Crown/Liberty Tree Tavern
  3. Be Our Guest
  4. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
  5. T-Rex
  6. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
  7. 'Ohana
  8. Le Cellier Steakhouse
  9. Arist Pointe
  10. The Crystal Palace/Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Wow that's a lot of cheating on there... But I do have to agree it's either Rose & Crown or Liberty Tree Tavern. So onto the list that really matters...

Vin's Picks

  1. Boma - Flavors of Africa
  2. Be Our Guest
  3. 'Ohana
  4. San Angel Inn Restaurante
  5. Rose & Crown/Liberty Tree Tavern
  6. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
  7. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Reastaurant
  8. T-Rex
  9. Paradisco 37, Taste of Americas
  10. AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatres

Yes ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, and cats and dogs-- Vincent! We have the same #1! Because Boma breakfast just can't be beat. Their dinner is also very good because of zebra domes. And I myself love a good themed restaurant that's not too over themed. Now if you want to know why we love each of these so much just request below and we will be sure to tell you in an upcoming post.

The Fiance Tag a.k.a The Boyfriend Tag

Hello everybody! It's Hunter here and I have a few questions for Vin to answer. He was a butt during some of these, but it was still good fun!

Where did we meet?

Are you serious!? We just did like a whole post on this last week. Ugh fine. We met at Disney World.

What was our first date?

Uhhhh. Well our first date would have been in college. So the mixer? But we also really should count us eating together as Brad and Hunter in high school. Technically we have had a lot of first dates.

Where was our first kiss? Hehehe

Sober? Epcot. You not sober? Vanderbilt campus

Thanks babe. Thanks a lot. Yes it's true I loved to drink back in my college days. I was really upset with my parents and someone took advantage of me. No no no. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I was actually the one to try and kiss him while drunk. But yeah the other two "first kisses" have both been at Epcot-- Crazy!

Did you know I was the one?

Yes. I actually remember telling my grandma that I was going to marry you. She didn't call me crazy or anything like that. I think she knew that I didn't just randomly say things like that and so she knew I would fight for you. I knew at 13 without a doubt, I had to get to know you more and it just grew and grew and grew.

Ok so after wiping happy tears right now....

First impression of me?

Easy... You were straightforward, hilarious, and cute. I was strongly attracted to you but knew you were a small thing that packed a punch. Yep, that's exactly what I thought of you.

When did you meet my family?

I met your dad on that first trip. I met your mom in New York. Uhhh I didn't meet the rest of your family until 2013... Yeah

Who said “I love you” first?

I did. Totally was me!

What is the first thing I wish you didn’t do?

Get the expense gas... Or use the contact lens placer to put in my contacts.

Scary that you know those off the top of your head.

What is something you wish I didn’t do?

*Laughing* You know this because you are laughing. Using the word literally when it's not in the right context. Some of the self doubt.

What is my shoe size?

8 and half

What would I eat every day if I could?

Chicken. No you already do that. I mean seriously you have chicken at some point every day.

Do I have any weird obsessions, if so-what?

Cleaning, organizing, reading anything and everything. I don't know. I don't think a lot of your obsessions are weird.

Do we have any traditions as a couple?

GOLDEN GIRLS!!!!!! We also have to have a jump picture at Disney World. We refuse to let each other hum alone. Playing tag in the parking lot to spend us up to get to the car when we park in the boondocks. I'm sure there are loads other.

What was our first roadtrip?

We were with Carolina and Edwin. We went to Myrtle Beach and we all hated it. We ended up going to the mountains.

What is my favorite restaurant?

Dang man yours is harder than mine.

PF Changs

Yeah yeah. Oh oh oh Chick-fil-a.

Gosh darn it. What's my favorite sit down then smarty?

Liberty Tree Tavern but you also love Columbia Harbor House, and locally you love Swens.

You are good.

What do we argue about the most?

Our self doubts. We are constantly telling each other to stop bashing on ourselves. Maybe we should listen...

Who wears the pants in the relationship?

We both do. We are doing life as a three legged race!

THAT'S PERFECT!

If I am watching TV what I am watching?

Whatever we have the tv on. Well we don't watch anything specific. Ok the Golden Girls, Designing Women, Astronaught Wives Club, Good Witch, -- Oh I see your point. But my point is that you rarely watch TV alone.

I'll give him that one. I don't like watching TV alone unless it's the Golden Girls

What is one food I do not like?

Pork roast in a crockpot.

What drink do I order when we go out to eat?

Depends. You like wine. But you are also a whiskey girl. You also enjoy a good cold one.

What is my favorite kind of sandwich?

Meat, cheese, and bacon. Wait bacon is a meat.

*Laughing together*

What is one talent I have?

Finding out crap out. You are a bloodhound for information. But you are so very talented. I'm not just saying that for the blog either. You are an amazing mom, teacher, boss, runner, pole dancer, dancer, artist, and many other things.

*Blushing* Thank you.

What is my favorite music?

Seriously?!?! That's a stupid question. We both love ALL music. From Bieber, Sinatra, Garth Brooks, NSYNC, A7X, R5, Pantera, etc.

What is my favorite Sports team?

Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Atlanta Braves, and Vanderbilt

Who is my best friend?

Me. Ok and then Jessica and Carolina

Do/Have I played any sports?

You played basketball and softball. But you play golf and tennis now. Granted you dance too.

Even I'm impressed that you know that.

What can I spend hours doing?

Make-up, blogging, talking, shopping, planning a Disney trip, dancing, reading, playing Pottermore

What-

Oh wait that's me.

If I could live anywhere, where would it be?

You want to live in Florida in the summer but come home in the winter.

Dang straight!

Once Upon A Time... The Beginning

Welcome to all you pass through here!
I'm Vin and the beautiful blue eye bombshell--
"VINCENT!"

Sorry about him. We are not starting every post with how he thinks I am a beautiful blue eyed bombshell. So we will tell the story together. We was originally going to write a book, but truth be told our story isn't going to end so why should we make it feel like it does with a book? This blog will be a continuum of our lives and our love story.

Our story starts back in September 2001 when our schools realized that a trip to the country's capital was out of the question. My school had decided like Hunter's to go to Disney World instead of DC that year for a week long adventure. Strangely enough we even got in the same resort hotel at Disney as they did. We were stayed at the All-Star Music. (Ironic? Not yet? It will be.)

The reason the school boards counted the trip as educational was that we had to take "classes" at Disney World. They still have the same kind of classes to this day! The Disney Youth Program is still very operational, which we are taking our kids to some of these classes since we are homeschooling our clan.
So our schools are in the same hotel and I notice her for the first time. She's grumbling about having to room with a bunch of girls. Her dad was looking tired (and he says she has been complaining about that situation since they learned that's how it would work with the rooms.) She finally quit once her dad handed her the ice bucket. My grams was ushering me toward the machine to get our bucket of ice filled up. The girl seemed to notice my embarrassment of my grandma ushering me around, because she smirked.
STOP! I DID NOT SMIRK! I was being polite! I was smiling! She was a nice lady. UGH!
If you are quite finish I'd like to continue. The girl did manage to notice that I had on Tommy Hilfiger boxers, just to show our ages. *Giggles* Once we were in the Epcot one and I noticed that the girl was now carrying a misting fan on strap. She was looking quite bored and then all of the sudden she caught me looking and she totally didn't think twice about spraying me with it. Which actually felt kinda nice but it got my hat wet. And she kept spraying when thought no one was looking.

And I started getting mad when it started having water droplets fall from it. I told her to stop that I couldn't wear my hat while it was wet. And the next thing I know the guy that was teaching was telling me to shush. And he started asking us questions and I'm thinking she will get in trouble when she can't answer his question. But no, she goes and above answering his question about email (yeah email was just becoming a household thing then) and such.

The girl then had the nerve to wink at me afterwards which was when I noticed her name tag.

Nah he was just checking out my not there yet boobs!

Anyhow, we went onto the next class and she answered the questions on the history of Epcot because nobody else has been as many times as she had. She finally got quiet when we had to do paper work. Afterwards we had a break to go get some snacks and drinks. Then it was back to the class which was very interesting. We were leaving the class and I was talking to my grandma and the next thing I know a bottle of water is poured right on me. My grandma was grinning and I heard a giggle.

I noticed it was the girl named Hunter who was wearing a Golden Girl tshirt and I went after her. She smiling at me and that's when she introduces herself. I told her she had a boy's name and she asked me was I in the mafia. I knew then that she might have been younger than me but she could hold her own. She apologized for dumping the water on my head but told me that I kept staring at her.

Somehow that day I made a friend. My classmates were not to keen on me except for a few and they had already deserted me and this girl just grabs my wrist and pulls me to the world showcase. For those of you not familiar with Disney World we have actually included a map of Epcot for you from THEN!

We headed to Mexico where she and I started singing 98°'s Una Noche. There is actual video us singing and dancing together while waiting for the Mexico ride. My grandma said she saw me come alive for the first time in 7-8 years. She said she cried the entire ride because I was laughing and finally acting carefree. I won't forget her telling me that.

Hunter grinned at me after that ride and said I just had to ride her favorite ride in Epcot. She pulled me over to the Maelstrom and I was kind of like, "This is your favorite ride?" She gave me the smile I now know to be her evil grin. She asked the ride operator could we ride in the back of the boat. The ride is no longer there (but we have rode it together several more times.) The reason she wanted us to ride in the back was it went backwards-- which scared the crap out of me!

That night her dad bought us a bucket of popcorn and we watched Epcot's fireworks together. She and I were laying in the grass watching it. She grazed my hand while eating it and there were more sparks that weren't in the sky. Her dad bought us starter kits of pin trading afterwards. I still have my May one.

The next day we were dispersing into groups because we didn't have any classes that day. We were spending the day at Magic Kingdom. She and I terrorized Magic Kingdom. My grams had never rode Splash Mountain before, but she got on there with us. She rode in front again and had a wet blast!

I think my favorite part of that day was Hunter screaming bloody murder at me because my hat fell off getting off Big Thunder Mountain into the tracks and the cast members having to hold me back from jumping down onto the electric rails of the ride. They rescued my hat and Hunter actually hit me and could I not read the signs posted everywhere.

She was fantastic fun to be around. We rode most everything in Magic Kingdom. We even rode the same horse on the carousel together. Her dad said it was funny to see us young and in love. Looking back I think we were. We bought matching souvenir cups which we both still have.

Animal Kingdom was the next day which I will never forget. Some little imp had the idea to ride the Kali River Rapids and we got soaking wet. I remember the guy beside me had on Sponge Bob Boxers. I was still happily wearing my Hilfiger boxers. We rode the safari afterwards to dry off and looking at all the animals. Hunter was squished beside me laughing at me being terrified of the alligators. We enjoyed eating pretzels and got another souvenir cup.

The next day was spent going to MGM (now known as Hollywood Studios) where we had another class. I didn't get soaking wet this day, thank goodness. Oh dear. You and that hat! We finished up the class. Tower of Terror kept having problems that day so we went and rode Rockin Roller Coaster together. Hunter and I screamed and had a blast. We enjoyed watching Fantasmic together and eating popcorn again.

I remember we were going to get on the bus and I told Hunter to hop on my back. We sang songs on the way to the bus. We shared headphones on the bus. Grandma always said she knew then that I wasn't going to let this girl go even though we lived miles apart (620 to be exact, I am guilty of looking several times.)

The next day we returned to Epcot. We had our last class and we got to "graduate." We rode Spaceship Earth and Hunter made snort with the same comment she says to this day while riding that ride. That the guys in Rome are the four Wise men. We still have a good laugh about that. The day drew to a close. I couldn't find her for a little while.

She was standing beside herself sucking on a lollipop. She didn't seem too sad. She squirted me and I came up to her and picked her up making her squeal. And I became hatless but I was thinking at the end of the trip she would give it back. But she didn't. She is proudly wearing that hat right now with a smug look on her face.

However, she did give me something in exchange for my hat. She gave her hit clip collection - But that playlist will be for another day.

We hope you've enjoy our recap of what happened when we first met. We have went through home videos and pictures. This has brought back so many memories.

Vin's Post About Hunter: Saturday, December 28, 2013

A Big Bang

My world has been flipped upside down in just over a month.

I remember in college I was assigned a short paper about my first love. I had never had one. I had a friend at the time I thought was my first love. Looking back now, it wasn't love.

However I believe I now know what love is. My first love... I want to share that assignment now.
Up on hearing this assignment Einstein's quote about first love flashed in my mind "How on earth are you going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?" Many people define their first as "one person who is and always will be the first person you truly fell in love with." Once we start to show interest to the persons of the other sex and a little later instinctively choose our first love. The relationships between two sexes will interest and trouble us during all our future life but these first steps are always the most difficult and for some of us turn to be very painful. Teenager has a growing and changing body that he/she hasn't started to understand yet and a delicate soul which is so easy to hurt. Adults very often don’t take this first affection for serious, they may laugh at it, preach, tell their children that they are too young to really feel anything, that his or her object isn't a good pair for him or her, they may try obey them stop seeing their boy/girlfriend. This is all very wrong. No one can stop anybody from falling in love especially when it’s so beckoning with the novelty. Wise adults can only try to support their young comrade to pass this complicated with the least wounds and hurt.

I however did not have a parent telling me about their first loves. I know of their first loves but not from them. I fell in love with my best friend's best friend. I know everyone's wanting to now know if he had feelings for her. My only reply to that is if yes he should have went for her instead of her cousin. I got to know about her more towards the years at Vandy. I had heard my best friend Steve talk about his her and of course Edwin, her best friend and my roommate. And some things had me very intrigued. And when I seen her picture I couldn't stop staring at her eyes. Unlike everyone else in our Frat house I manage to look above her waist and at her face. He talked about how she loves kids and lives in the country. The last part he thought was kind of a negative about her. He is from the country too but was/is tired of it and doesn't want to live in the country anymore than he has to live in it. I loved it. Nashville is a flashy country city but its still flashy. I come from a small country town in the mountains with horses and pigs and that sounded like heaven to me.

Even when I graduated I felt like something was missing but I figured it was just being done with school for the time being. When I would be catching up with Edwin all I wanted to know was that she was alright. When April 27th 2011 tornadoes hit west Alabama I had to know if she was. I was calling Edwin who assured me he was ok. At first I was like what the heck. Then I realized that I had it bad for a girl who had barely said over 20 sentences to me. I finally got around to later in the conversation asked him about his best friend who lived in west Alabama and went to the University of Alabama. He said she was fine but her dad had been hurt by the one that destroyed Tuscaloosa. I told him that I would be praying. My mind hadn't been thinking about between my grandma dying and my brother being killed and leaving me with custody of his daughter.

Then my world was shook just over a month ago. A friend I had made during my years at Vanderbilt called me and asked me did I still like the blue eyed blonde from Alabama. My head stopped, my heart quickened and my palms sweated. I told my friend real quick that I never had feelings for the blue eyed bombshell. My friend snorted. My friend well she knows everything. She will have your background history in two hours of saying hi to you. She told me that the blonde eyed bombshell was once again living in Alabama and was with a douche bag and that they were about on the rocks.

So after years of waiting I finally have what I have wanted. A girl that has beauty, smart as fox, and caring as a mom with a newborn. She has made me come alive again.

As for why I fell for her, well, she was something I couldn't have and had never had before in my life. She was perfect to me. I found myself doing crazy things, even though I do crazy things but this was so much worse. I was singing and dancing to the most random and scandalous songs to just make her smile not even laugh. And we have many things in common and a many differences to balance us out. And we are a good fit. She is unlike any other girl you could know. But now the greatest thing about her is that she is mine first love.
